It’s a lot of money to spend on two pairs of shoes but you know what? I only have 2 pairs of shoes I wear and one pair of crocs. I will make good use out of them. I might send one of them back though. Yikes these shoes are expensive.
Whatever floats your boat mate. Moneys for spending!! lol
I calculated it, it’s almost 12 hours of my salary. But I don’t buy a lot of them so thats how I justify it. Actually a lot more hours and salary. But still, I needed them
Nice. No point ruddy working just to pay the bills. Im similar with video games.
This is one of the pair of shoes I got.
I spent top dollar on my shoes. Wouldn’t do it again. Not worth it.
I’ll send them back if they’re not great as claimed, I just need proper hiking boots for when I got to the Jurassic coast. I might send back and buy something more reasonable in price.
I don’t know why I was stupid and wanted water proof shoes…I should’ve just bought a boot and done the work to break it in.
The shoe is fine, its just not holding up any way near as well as a boot would, and its not all that comfortable to be kicking boots to the curb.
I’ll chalk it up as a learning experience.
I could’ve bought a very very well made boot for the price I paid.
Sounds expensive. Back in the days when I was working I would practically buy only Tod’s. The cheapest were even +300€.
Now I buy my shoes in thrift stores and they have good quality ones for 15-20€.
Times can change.
I find walking shoes more economical, I usually go mid range around £120 a pair and my current ones are lasting and had them 2 years and still going strong. With trainers/sneakers they only last upwards of a year before they need replacing and those were around £90 a pair.
I’ve never spent more than £70 on a shoe I hope they are worth it. Mines are hiking shoes.
My shoes were like $20 on Amazon. I have a few pairs though. Sometimes I spring $50 for a pair of Nikes at the military exchange.
I spend money like water so no one to judge but shoes aren’t my thing.
I always buy Birkenstock sandals though they are the best.
They aren’t my thing either hence why I don’t have many … but I figured I needed them for my hike
I’d rather go for quality then quantity
What kind of hiking boots did you get @anon25873142?
I’m an unashamed sneaker-head so if these shoes make you happy I say go for it!
I’ve really been loving the new Skechers slip ins lately.
Good shoes are a must if you’re on your feet a lot.
I’ve bought several shoes lately, too. I bought two pairs of Dr Marten’s, one slip-on Skechers for walking my new pup, two pairs of sandals, and a pair of black leather loafers for work. The Docs were pricey, and maybe the sandals, but I know what I like and rarely settle for less. Nothing wrong with that.
I bought a pair of Nikes back in 2008 or so for $100…I still have them.
