and the hot water felt really good. I thought, this is what I was afraid of doing? This is what’s so hard for me to do right now? I think I’m going to try to start showering every day now.

I only do it once or twice a week.

For me it’s been really difficult but it’s really not that difficult once you get in there. My hardest part is drying off and getting dressed again.

Yay showers! I showered today, too, without my husband persuading me. I feel so much better about myself when I’m clean and dressed nice. I think a lot of us struggle with showering, though, no matter how nice it feels to do it.

YAY you! I was going to wait until tomorrow to shower, before my volunteer job, but I had really bad bedhead on one side, so I washed my hair to fix it.

Most of the time I just wash my hair under the faucet but I was worried I was starting to smell so I had to take the full shower.

i struggle with showering also. And like you, I always feel better once I do. I’ve gone up to a week or more between showers. And felt gross and unattractive…but not enough to make me shower more frequently. In the past week though, I showered every other day…which is acceptable I think. And yeah I HATE getting out all cold and drippy. and the struggle to get dressed. I found if I put a bathrobe on and just hang out a while until i’m completely dry, it is easier to get dressed. Even if it’s just from taking a break between efforts. GOOD on you though for taking the plunge!
