Took a bath! :)

I took a bath for the first time in a week. I feel so fresh. I should do this more often. :stuck_out_tongue:

Why is showering/bathing a problem with sz? I don’t see that I smell bad until my kids or someone else tell me I do. It should be easy to make a rule, shower every second day. But I never keep that rule. Now I smell of roses instead of ■■■■.

Yeah, in the past I didn’t shower too often, but then I heard comments about others smelling and I felt bad and now I shower everyday! Good for you!!!

I’m the exact same. I’m trying to shower once a week. I hate the thought of showing, but I feel better when I do. The irony is I absolutely hate it when others don’t do it. Pretty screwed up.

This is Excellent @Comatose - I just took a shower this morning, its been about 5 or 6 days now.
I feel so fresh! :relaxed:

That’s great! I struggled with that and still do. I started buying dove body wash. It helps a lot because it has religious conations to me. Sometimes you just need the right soap

good on you :shower:
take care :alien:

I need to take your initiative and take a shower myself. Its been a couple days since I took one. I usually only take a shower once or twice a week. I don’t know why it is so hard for me to take one but it is.

I need a bath too. I just want to lay here brain dead.

I am proud of you !! I only shower about once a week too. why ? I am always so much better off self esteem wise when I do?

Not trying to put anyone down or make light, but I have to shower every day. Not trying to sound like an elitist at all or anything, but even when I was at my worst, I showered daily. I guess it just goes to show that this disease affects us all differently, and what some people struggle with is a piece of cake to others. Meanwhile that same person can’t do the same thing others can.

It is for me. If I don’t exercise I find it hard to bathe regularly. But now with my surgery I have to shower twice a day

I forget to bathe and if I remember I don’t want to right away and then I just drift and don’t bother or think on it. I never had a problem with smelling badly prob cause I’m just that awesome and because I don’t use enough energy to sweat enough to stink. So nobody ever complained if I didn’t bathe for a couple weeks. I do shower at least once a week now as I have no choice (not gonna explain) but otherwise I will only shower when my head starts to feel itchy or something. … that takes two or three weeks because it doesn’t bother me right away.

I shower almost every day. The only times I don’t shower is when I know I will be home all day. But I went through a period when I first got sick when I hated taking a shower. I did it anyway but I hated it. I didn’t like getting undressed and I didn’t like the feeling of the water hitting my skin. But yeah, I’ve showered every day ever since seventh grade when I discovered that girls noticed dirty, oily hair and it was a turn-off to them.

Once a week is respectable, not too presumptuous or offensive.

I would shower more often if i weren’t being harassed by the voices while attempting to take one

Good job!! Keep nice and fresh!

I think it’s because when you have that much on your plate mentally some things just aren’t at the front list of being important anymore…

I have an issue with showering. And getting dressed…it’s because of my anxiety though. When every little thing causes anxiety you cut out anything you don’t see as absolutely necessary because you want to spare yourself the pain, you know? So if it isn’t imperative I get dressed I don’t. I’d love to get to a point where getting in the shower doesn’t take me 3-5 hours…and hopefully I never get to the point where it takes me weeks!!
