I just can't shake the feeling

Yes, both. You? Have they helped you?

Have you considered hospitalization? I was put on both: haldol and risperidone high doses and after 6 weeks i was put on Invega 75mg a month. If you keep experiencing delusions i suggest hospitalization, as they can properly track your condition

Hold onto this as much as you can, I had delusions that I was part of an experiment or was a medical test subject. It can feel very real but just know that you are not alone in feeling this way. Try to consider what is thought versus what is experienced. Remember times with your parents and remember what it was like before you thought about things in this way.

I believe finding a therapist can help you out too, I wish you responded better to medication but perhaps new medication will come out that will help, I am waiting to hear more about new medication that is being trialled.

Try to live as though you aren’t in a computer simulation or matrix/Truman Show setting. There are many unique experiences to have and I don’t want to see you missing out on them because of delusions. You are a cool guy @Om_Sadasiva , put on some tunes and try to accomplish a task or just entertain yourself. Keep a log of that if you would like, just try to focus on what you can do and how you can interact, looking back on ones actions can preserve a line of thought to some extent and from that you may be able to see flaws in your thinking which in turn can invalidate your delusions.

But try not to just get stuck in thought all day, that is about the worst thing you can do to your self. New experiences will help you out greatly.

Yes, this is what I do.
I am obsessed.

Well that is what we need to work on, I have went through periods where I was obsessed by numbers and “hidden meaning”(coincidences). I would spend hours on the internet just going down a crazed rabbit hole :rabbit2:.

This led to me doing very irrational and almost very dangerous things. I don’t think hospital will help you much because it feels a bit too programmed in there for these type of delusions, I felt as if I was the center of a hidden camera joke TV show when I was hospitalized once. When I expressed my “knowledge of their plot” they just reacted as if I said something insane or outrageous, this shook my belief in it.

I don’t know how to help you stop being obsessed by your delusions, it isn’t safe to try and push the limits on your reality or believe in delusions too heavily. I think a change in your set and settings can help you, have you seen your parents recently? I am pretty sure I remember you talking about your dad on here before.

Yes it’s a low dose
Not all is medication you could treat your ideas with a therapist

As per the recommendation of your Pdoc, you could go at a higher dose of Clozapine.

If you are well in 6 months, the dose may be lowered back to somewhere the side effects are manageable.

Some doctors believe in keeping the dose the same (at the highest level), others think it can be lowered over a period of time.

I was on 800 Seroquel. It was giving me side effects. Now I am at 600. I am doing better, I have more doubt. I will talk with my PDoc in a few days and he may lower the dose further. This is his way of working.

Other doctors told me I couldn’t get off Clozapine. I was taking 800 mg a day (partial response) with a second medication. Now I am off Clozapine.
Seroquel was increased to max dose, now it will become half in time I hope.

Over time I may be on just Abilify hopefully.

Yes, maybe we could increase clozapine, or maybe we shouldn’t have quit abilify?

Yes, Abilify/Clozapine combination is a popular one.

You could also try increasing the dose of the Clozapine, and once better, decrease it-- since you are obviously having side effects with this medication at a higher dose than 200.

No, I don’t have side effects with doses over 200mg, but it was working til now. Maybe we should increase it. Thank you.

I would recommend providing all your symptoms to your doctor. Good doctors treat the symptoms.

He will recommend changes. Your job is to keep tab of which medications worked and at what doses.

If you obsess about your delusions, then the obsessions are a symptom (for example).

you’ll feel better about yourself if you find something better to believe in, because how is it working for you? just play it a day at a time and see where life leads (natural instincts). you don’t have to keep defending your delusion. prove that you are a good guy, try to be yourself and you will see you are not a programmed robot. don’t follow feelings of that.

I don’t understand, my friend. What should I do?

Solipsism is a philosophical fundamental that has zero implication for you to experience the world and what is around you in a inexplicable or discomforting way implying anything you do is either meaningless or not, the Truman show had a premise which you cannot replicate even if your delusion is correct, reality compared to reality of sort would be out of banal and boring reality life normally comes off as what is still will be the boring, without the tragedy or catharsis you expect from life. Maybe you should focus on something you are happy and talented to do that has a meaning even if you are the Truman or a solipsist living in a piss loaded barrel.

“sane” people around me say “so what?”, even if there is the matrix or truman show or solipsism.
I can’t say that. For me it’s an urgent issue that needs solution

Should I contact my pdoc?
Or is he part of the plot?
Will he understand?

I would write them down and read it to him.

Yes, yes, thank you.

On TV, there was an advertisement in which the guy pushed a button and night fell. Is this a secret subtle message for me?

Your Pdoc is your only hope.

There are two possibilities:

There is the narrative and there is no hope.

The more optimistic one is that your psychiatrist may be able to fix it.
If you don’t have side effects from the Clozapine, then the doctor can raise your dose of Clozapine.
The second thing that, if you feel it is true, tell him that Abilify was working better than Haldol.
There is an easy way to know that: Reduce the Haldol slightly, and increase the Abilify slightly. See if you get better. If it does help, that would mean it was the Abilify which was more potent than the Haldol.

Of course, I think the Clozapine may be increased as per the recommendation of your doctor, unless side effects become unbearable. You may get completely better at a much higher dose, and then decrease it, once you are okay.

For me, the Abilify/Clozapine combination worked. But, Clozapine was giving strong side effects so I switched to Seroquel.
