Mental Health Services have put me in a position where I am going to be forced to comply, or be forced to comply
Poll:
- Go Formal Patient
- Stay informal even though it’s really formal!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!

Either way I have to do what they want.
I don’t like threats
advise ere mit be wron imo
make your own coices
Well I don’t know what to do
I told my case worker they have had years to make progress
pdoc and nurses can only do so muc
te book stops wit you to improve ur life
overall
I understand that.
I am not guilty of not trying
comply wit tem
tey can assist our needs sometimes
I voted for keep it informal even though it’s formal.
That’s what I would do, try to keep it as relaxed and informal as possible, if you keep your relationship with them on good terms, even though you are forced to comply, I think it will make things easier on you in the long run, you might get out of the system earlier if that is what you want.
I don’t like them making these types of threats to me
She just said there are three options:
Not even sure the first one is possible, but i’ll find out tomorrow
They have had since 2016 to ‘fix me’
All I have done is asked to be discharged, as I do not think they can help me
Apparently I am a risk to myself
everyone imo need a type of fixin
treat yourself like te kin of enland and feck te rest
I don’t either. The last time I was in the hospital I didn’t get along with the pdoc and she wanted to send me to a permanent mental hospital that is a sh*thole. Luckily my mom said no, then I got a new pdoc that prescribed me Lurasidone and I went on to do much better.
Of those three I would go with the first if possible. I really don’t like being in the hospital
I have a feeling that my relations with the community team are not in a good place right now
Tomorrow I see my case worker
My red line is being coerced into taking meds I don’t want
If they want to force me to take certain meds, then get a court order
That’s what happened to me. That pdoc I was talking about gave me a choice between haldol and clozapine and I didn’t want either, I ended up on haldol against my will, but it had side effects so I quit it. She took my belligerence as a mental problems and that is why she wanted to lock me up. She never considered what I might want. I’m lucky she went on vacation at that time and I was given a new pdoc who suggested Lurasidone which I was willing to try and it worked out well.
Basically I got lucky that I was assigned a new pdoc and my mom stuck up for me. Otherwise I’d be on meds I don’t want locked up in the nut house right now.
That really sucks.
Glad it worked out for you in the end though
I can’t request a new pdoc
Here you get what the state has to offer
Private care is not affordable either
I think it’s telling that most are voting for formal patient.
In my opinion everyone in your situation, as I have been, should have a legal advocate. The way it is currently handled with the patient having no power is not acceptable. But that being said you are in a difficult situation that you on your own will probably make worse so just cooperate but stay powerful, document what goes on and if you are mistreated abd harassed, file human rights complaint if necessary.
I can’t get one by 10:30am tomorrow.
If I don’t show, then I will have another mental health act assessment and then I’ll be negotiating from inside a hospital
All these votes for formal mean even people here think my decisions should be taken out of my hands
Why did I ever give up illegal drugs?
At least I’d be dead or having a good time
I’m sorry to say this, but sometimes it sounds like you are just being stubborn and really don’t mind staying ill.
