The app sucks up all kinds of data that it should not be allowed to and continuously sends a stream of encrypted info back to the company’s servers. As a former IT security expert you will never catch me with an app like this on any of my devices. I won’t even click through to their site.
This is hard to get into without getting into politics and possibly offending some people of different nationalities. I don’t want to try to take it on.
You can’t change settings to block access?
I don’t have tiktok but annoys the hell out of me when my sister constantly listens to tiktoks at the dinner table when I’m with her.
I had TikTok for a little while until I did some more research on them.

You can’t. It is blocked from all corporate devices with my employer because we are technically a financial institution with fiduciary duties to our clients. It has been classed as a high security risk. I.T. will know if you try to install it and you will have an unpleasant conversation with them.
