A friend called me. She told me she has sz. We met in support group. We talked for more than one hour!
Can I catch her delusions? She is not very well atm. I felt like spaced out a couple of times when we talked.
She has not told me this before. We talked a lot about meds.
You can’t catch her delusions, but it might not be healthy for either of you to talk about them in case you both end up reinforcing your existing delusions.

There’s nothing wrong with talking to someone with SZ on the telephone.

Some of the best friends I ever had were other people with schizophrenia. We had a lot of fun and as the Beach Boys would say. "Round, round, round, “We got around”.

I told her she could call me today. I had to go to sleep. She still has delusions. She tries them on me. Checking if they are delusions or not. I tell her if the thoughts sound delusional.
She is in “twilight zone”. Where she says delusional things but realizes they are wrong.
I just don’t understand why some young persons with schizophrenia were sent by their parents or sibling to nursing home. These persons sound OKAY and deserve for brighter future in the society. What is the use of staying in there.
You might sound ok but you can’t take care of yourself.

Wonderful that you’ve met a friend with sz . Maybe you can both really open up to each other because you know what the experiences of schiZophrenia are like.
