Once my symptoms show themselves to others they often enter a pity mode. I think its good as many Schizophrenics could benefit from the help people would offer but am starting to hate it now.

Sz is considered to be a disability so for sure pitty is there, but probably compasion as well. No one would trade places.
If feel a deep compassion for you and my mum and all others with Schizophrenia but I don’t pity any.of.you because I consider all of you at my.level.

If you tell people your mess it’s normal that they treat you differently.
its weird people at stores talk to me they mever used to. it was hi how are you and have a good day all my life.
people did talk to me though. i dont know what impression they have honestly. used to have a better idea of these things.

Pity is quite a strong word though and sometimes has negative connotations, like when someone says ‘it was a pity party’ or something or someone is ‘wallowing in self pity’,
But i genuinely believe a lot of people just care deeply about the world and the people in it.
I think my attitude of carefree not caring about what others think helps me do those things and tasks to keep my afloat
