It a Moto e and takes great pictures which I mainly need for remote check deposit to my bank account. It has Android 10 with a 12/01/2021 security patch.
I’m happy with it, but should I be concerned that it’s dated?
I think Android 11 is the latest release.
No it’s Android 12 right now, but mom has an older phone with Android 7 and never got herself in trouble.
I guess it depends how careful you are. Best practices include: don’t install apps from sites other than google play store, use the latest version of chrome as browser with an ad blocker and don’t open shady pages or links from unknown SMS’s.
