I feel very fortunate being on disability benefits

@bobbilly
Im on ESA/PIP
Me personally gets full housing Benefit. And as im in a council flat and they are my landlord they just show it on my rent statement.

I pay £45 council tax a month on a standing order.

Obviously the utility bills are my resposibility - but i qualify for the Warmfront scheme with my power supplier so i get £140 credited to my account every winter.

When I first got discharge from the Navy, I thought my life was over. I figure I would be homeless at worst and living in a flop house at best.
Instead I was able to get disability and have a home and paid my bills.
I’m very grateful for my benefits.

I don’t have to pay a contribution towards my rent, it’s met in full. Also I don’t have to pay a contribution towards council tax as I’m under the severely mentally impaired criteria. My total outings are £135 a month for utilities and £18 for cinema pass plus £20 a month standing order to help with my sisters cat that used to be mine. He’s on a specialist diet.

What is a counsel tax?

What is a council tax?

@Loke

Its a monthly amount you pay to the local authority in the uk - to help pay for your rubbish collections, the police, public toilets and roads etc for the district.Its based on how big your house is and where you live. You can be sent to prison if you dont pay it - But most people get some sort of rebate.

I’m band C, That means if I was working my council tax would be £1.505 a year.
