I feel respected at work and

I have made a few mistakes but each time I was told I did something wrong I corrected it. Delivering pizzas is totally (not) an art but there is SOME technique involved.

It feels good to be part of a crew and not just delivering pizzas. If I’m not delivering pizzas I’m tidying up or making boxes or something. I like my co workers.

And most of all. RESPECT. My mom always taught me to be really polite. And my boss respects politeness a lot so it’s a perfect match!! Feels right/good.

I should mention the food is delicious!!

I haven’t tried the penne a la vodka yet but it looks delicious.

I haven’t been asking for too much food yet or drinks and when I got coffee I politely asked for permission.

But the other guys just grab stuff and eat stuff. And apparently if you work a full shift you’re allowed to make an order and get a free delicious :yum: meal.

But yesterday all I had was a chicken pizza slice

We got 4+ stars on yelp!!

I’m happy for you! I’ve had almost every job, and I always say it doesn’t matter what you do. It matters who you are working with. The toughest job I ever had was an amazing experience, because my manager and coworkers were all amazing. And a job that should have been very cushy and easy was a total nightmare because the manager sucked. I’m glad you have a good team.

Yeah @Ninjastar my co workers are all mad chill!! Real down to earth humanly people if you know what I mean. They work a harder job than me but they don’t treat me as if I’m privileged or anything like that. They work long hours and sometimes have a tired look on their face but they always smile and are polite to customers and me

Glad you found a job you like. If I was 20 years younger I would go back to pizza delivery. It was a fun job.

what would happen if you told them you have schizophrenia?

I have sometimes when I tell them I’m a published poet,

and they ask what my book is about. One manager who was super cool,
was very supportive and gave me kudos.

I’m
Not gonna bring it up. But I discussed this morning with my mom if he asks me to work too many hours and I say I can’t and he asks why I’ll simply say “I’ll lose my health insurance if I work too many hours”.

Do you think that’s a good answer??

I’ve done that before, yes, that’s a good answer.

Wow awesome to hear man! I did delivery once and i know what u mean about technique. And having a smile and a good attitude can open so many doors for people.

I always thank them no matter what the tip because maybe next time I see them they’ll give me an even nicer tip for being polite.

The tips definitely vary and make little seldom sense or anything why one person gives $10, and another gives $2-3. But by the end of the night it balances out. I got one tip that was $20 yesterday!!

Do you have to report your tips these days?

Technically u do. Most report some of their tips, but not all. Thats what i heard most servers do. They report just enough so it doesn’t seem suspicious. But as paranoid individuals i would say just follow the law and report all tips.

Also if you arent going to report all tips you probably want to talk out a strategy w your coworkers, otherwise it would be extremely obvious. Now im jist rambling…ok…that is all.
