whenever I eat something I drink a lot of water afterwards and i always have to pee after like an hour but i start getting nervous if i don’t pee within an hour because i feel like my stomach isn’t digesting and I’m gonna die, it is weird but that is a weird thing i noticed that i don’t know why i do, i literally cant eat anything without drinking like a liter of water afterwards
Too much water intake can actually kill you.
So I’d get out of that habit…
A liter of water isn’t going to kill you. Neither is 2 liters.
You’d have to drink a ridiculous amount. That’s why you really only hear of this happening when people participate in stupid contests or in little babies whose parents don’t know it’s dangerous to give water instead of breastmilk or properly prepared formula.
I don’t know that there is a water intoxication, it happens that I am doing a water therapy. God, where should I put myself?
@sigarino I recommend that you not drink more than 2-2.5 cups of water at a time.
Unless there are special circumstances, for example vigorous exercise with you sweating profusely.
How much water are you drinking per day?
i have a water bottle that is a liter and i usually drink half of it so about 2 cups but when i take my meds i drink the whole thing
I am sorry to hear that @sigarino, try to control your drinking because drinking a liter in one go
(unless you are sweating profusely) is way too much.
If you are really concerned with digestion you should be eating things with a lot of fiber. That will actually help you digest. The water isn’t doing anything except making you pee. It’s good to stay hydrated though.
Other tips for digestion
-No vigorous exercise for at least 2 hours after a big meal
-Don’t sleep right after a big meal (until 2-3 hours after)
Vigorous exercise shuts down digestion and you can get stomach cramps or worse diarrhea because your body didn’t have time to process the food.
Sleep just shuts it down in general and can make you feel sick after waking up because food is just fermenting in your gut the whole time.
Could be worse. You could start peeing and never ever stop. Bum bum buuuummm!
I ate 36 grams of fiber today I usually don’t get that much but I used these tortillas that have 15 in each one
Just drink water when you’re thirsty and don’t drink any when you’re not.

The average female should drink 2.5 litres of water a day, 3 litres for males. More if you exercise

About 5-6 liters a day
While you don’t need that much, only about 2-3 liters per day to be well hydrated, 5-6 will not give you water intoxication. Generally, don’t drink more than 1 liter per hour and 8 liters per day (this is excessive, but won’t cause intoxication in a healthy adult). If you develop headache, nausea, vomiting, stop, even if you are under that limit. If you are thirsty even after drinking 3 liters of water per day, ask your doctor, something might be wrong.
