Could be a sign of diabetes. Perhaps get yourself checked out for that.

It’s probably diabetes. Get your doctor to check you out for that pronto.

I’ve gotten my fasting glucose and A1C tested and it came back normal
I get dry mouth from medication
I use to get dry mouth from Risperdal oral. Then I got changed to the Risperdal injection and it went better. I’m on Abilify now.

I get thirsty from lithium and vaping so I drink a ton of water. Drinking water also protects your kidneys according to my dr.

I’ve always heard you’re supposed to drink about seven glasses of water a day. I think most people don’t do that. I know I don’t. If I get hot, and then drink a ton of ice water I get a very washed out feeling. It feels bad. I did that the first day I hauled hay forty years ago, and it made me feel really bad. I was hating on hauling hay. Then the next day I realized my mistake, and I cut the amount of ice water I drank by almost a half. I also took salt pills. After that hauling hay was easy. That was just an individual thing with me though. Another guy drank a lot more ice water than I ever did, and it didn’t bother him at all. I recommend that you find what works best for you. If you’re unsure, talk to a doctor, if you can.

Before I got on antipsychotics, I had polydipsia for about a year. I had all the tests and everything came back normal. As soon as the antipsychotics kicked in the polydipsia went away. I was diagnosed as having psychogenic polydipsia.
