I diagnosis is still lingering …!!! I used to say my positive symptoms are highly manageable …!!!
i don’t know what to say …!!!
You can have sz even if you don’t hallucinate.
What would it be like being psychotic without hallucinating … ish u said u are bipolar right …!!
I only hallucinate during actual psychotic breaks. I have just slight symptoms otherwise - no visuals, voices, etc. I get terrible paranoid delusions relentlessly during breaks, unlike the hallucinations that come and go when I’m in that state.
I’ve never heard or seen things although during the worst of it last summer i experienced what the doc called hallucinosis, kind of like what hard core alcoholics might go through. Some stuff on TV in particular was way too vivid. So I don’t have a diagnosis either though I guess “attenuated psychosis syndrome” is a catchy enough one that was mentioned some months ago. I’m probably “schiz-something” though i guess in a mild form.
But I had the diagnosis several years and I was told that this was because in sz you don’t need to hallucinate to have the dx. I did get delusional.
Did you hallucinate before starting meds? If so the ends are covering it up.
However even if you never hallucinated yes it’s still possible to be diagnosed. As long as you had some positive and negative symptoms. Apparently you can even be diagnosed with sz if you don’t have hallucinations or delusions at all, only negative symptoms, which is called simple sz or something like that. I only learned about that very recently and find it somewhat confusing because it almost feels like that is a different disorder. Not sure though.
I have grandeur delusion That’s it …!!!
I am sure i am sz cuz i have all the negative symptoms of Sz…!![quote=“anon80629714, post:6, topic:69382”]

What kind of delusion do u have …!! Sorry for asking that…!!
Right now and for the past 6.5 years none. I don’t remember much of what lasted only a few weeks.
Mr. Cry. It seems whenever I’ve been on a locked ward for what I thought were mood issues I’ve always been branded with the psychosis label. I do have hallucinations but they aren’t a big part of it so I’ve always asked the pdoc if I need meds and he always said that even without hallucinations there can be many other things going on i.e. delusions and thought disorders.
