i think smaller bites help. not put too much food in your mouth at once.

one of the reasons Im quitting quetiapine is because it causes me to choke on food

Curious, though what are you eating? Because here where I am there is a dish called ragi mudde, which needs to be swallowed not chewed, not sure about your dish.

I choke on water since upping my risperdal to 6mg from 4mg. Let your Dr know if its really bothering you. I made a thread about it and someone said they take antiparkinson med to avoid the choking, Trihexyphenidyl. Antipsychotics block too much dopamine and dopamine is needed for proper muscle control so they can cause problems in swallowing muscles and reflexes. Parkinson disease, lack of dopamine, cause the same swallowing problems. I may ask my Dr for Trihexyphenidyl.

Yes, all antipsychotics can cause swallowing difficulties.
