I am going to try and walk more… I can’t do the gym because I keep quitting…and walking is something I won’t quit… so I am going to try walking up roads with steep hills.
Me: “Hey Bro, I’m thinking of buying a Fitbit!”
Brother: “For you? More like a Fatbit.”
Ah…brotherly love.
I got the garmin venu 2s with 40 % off
Thats great! I plan on exercising more too. I have an old fitbit that needs to charge up but I can still use it.
Mine says 23,000+ steps yesterday. Bugger of it is that I was up and down stairs all day. It didn’t register them once.
@anon25873142 Oh I had the garmin venu 2s also.
It’s a great watch and told me when my heart was over working and to get up and move around when I’ve been sat for so long. Very motivational.
But I sent it back to Amazon as the gps wasn’t good in my area. I live up a mountain. Also the novelty of it would probably wear off after a month or two.
I miss it so may buy it again at some point. But I found the fittness apps useless. But the step counter, oxygen, heart and sleep monitoring essential.
How’d you get the 40% off? It’s around 40,000 yen on Amazon.jp
I started with a simple fitbit with the goal of doing 10, 000 steps a day. I now do heaps of exercise and usually 20,000 plus. It was a great buy and I’ve moved up to their watches and totally happy with them.
I used to work in the health sector and they gave me a discount card that’s still valid. Cost me £244 or so.
That’s a lot of steps … I usually do that much walking around the Disney parks. I’m gonna aim for 15000 steps.
That’s about the same price as it is in my country.
It’s such a beautiful display and very good for reading messages without going to the phone.
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out which would be best for me and the venu was at the top of my list.
But like the fit bits I’ve had in the past the novelty might have worn thin. So I returned it just before the month of free returns was up saying the gps sucked. I continued searching and have hopes on the Apple 8 but I don’t like the idea it doesn’t connect to my iPad and only my phone.
So may eventually go back to the venu.
Have fun with it.
I have the Samsung Watch 2 and love it! It can detect when I’m walking, swimming, or biking, it does heart rate and sleep, and I can change the music I’m listening to on it. It does other stuff, too. I like the ability to change faces and to choose which apps I want on it. It was a little pricey, about $240, but it’s so much better than the Fitbit Versa 2 that I had.
