Not heard anything back and I’m not sure why I applied … because I’m not sure i can help people if I need help myself
Sometimes being someone who needs help puts you in the best position to understand how to help other people.
Peers are great usually. I think it’s just a matter of empathizing and helping people with community supports such as food banks etc. they also help people come up with a WRAP plan for when emergencies happen. Do you think you can do that?
I really just want to be there and tell them they’re not alone as I still go through it… i want to help them see that it is possible to be happy although we have our challenges … but life is worth it
That sounds good
I think you can do it
I know there will be training so I can go about it best way but I do think that sometimes it helps talking to someone who goes through it
I agree. I think you’ll be able to empathize easily and that’s important
