Normally I don’t jump on something that worked for mice but I was planning to go off bread because I once was diagnosed with a yeast allergy so I decided to try the ketogenic diet. Well so far so good. I haven’t dared tried to go off my meds because I know better but I am feeling stronger, and don’t weigh any more than I did before the holidays. It is difficult to say that any drug or diet will work in the long term for this illness or what works for me will work for you but my optimism is growing for this new diet plan.
I’m going to give it a try also. I’ll probably fail, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Isn’t there a risk to be more fat than before the diet??
I was on the Ketogenic diet years ago - it really helped stabilize my moods.
I did it for like 6 months, its difficult to keep up with, we live in a very pro carb society (carbs everywhere)
Is there a good website that explains the appropriate foods for this diet?
Thx!

That diet seems pretty intense…
I was on the keto diet for 3 months but I couldn’t stand it any longer because of my cravings for carbs
I like that cat pic for your name! I forgot the name of the sig pics…ugh my memory is horrid.
Hi, sounds promising. There are a few promising diets out there which purport to assist with mental health. Yours sounds promising because the brain is composed from healthy fats which is also why a strong omega three supplement might help. There are others which believe mental health is affected by the gut… in this case I think glutton free diets are spoken about. For anyone cutting down on glutton spelt bread is good. It contains less glutton though not entirely free and has a list of health benefits including fewer calories per normal slice if my mother in law is to be believed. The website proclaiming all the benefits is here
