I have studied up on Japanese culture, behavior and such other things. I have been thinking about following the code of Bushidō and living as a samurai did. I want to wear the clothing style of the Japanese (Like a samurai kimono and traditional kimono) and learn to be a warrior. Is this weird that I am american and I want to do this? What are your guys’ thoughts on this?
Do it man! (just don’t be weird about it)
Anatawa Nihonjin desuka?
Just joking. They do have good values to learn from, but definitely not their act of war 65 years ago.
Iie, Nihonjin janai XD
Well, I know not their act of war, but I think that The Japanese are awesome and I want to show that being someone like a warrior is not all that bad. I like the Samurai and I want to try to bring them back.
Im glad you guys are supporting this!
Minus the ritual suicide, of course XD that wouldn’t be cool
Do you speak Japanese though? Not sure if I could respect this and take it seriously if you weren’t at least learning the language.
He must be saying “Hai. Watashiwa Nihongo o benkyo shimasu.”
Just for your quick info. Hong Kong dialect for “Yes” and Japanese for “Yes” are both “Hai”.
Back in 1997, when I worked in Japanese Club in KL, I always “Hai. Hai”.
Konitchiwaaaaaaa
That’s what I get for sleeping. I missed out on the chance to link that song first.
People study martial arts all the time. They often wear different costumes in their dojos while training. I don’t see anything particularly strange about that, unless you were going to go to the mall in full samurai armor.
I do speak japanese. I am not fluent, but I am learning.
Konnichi wa, je-san!
well i am not going to be going to the mall in samurai ARMOR. Maybe informal samurai clothing, though.
What about their Chadou? Plenty of arts…
Go for it! Japan has an amazing culture. Exploring it should be fun.
i dont know much about japan but i know a lot about thai culture. Thai food - Aroy Mak Mak
I don’t know about that Aroy Mak Mak, but I do know about Tom Yam.
Thailand is just few hundreds of kilometres away from my country. Strange though, I have never been there.
