It looks like i won’t be able to go. It cost £6700 with a tour company … even if we go without that tour company, it might cut the cost in half but that’s way too much … yikes ![]()
Japan is definitely on my bucket list. ![]()

It’s on ours as well but maybe 2025.
Mine too, UK and Japan.
I want to try a Lion bar like I saw in Family Guy, and I want to visit Tokyo at night.
It might be cheaper to book ahead but we will see.
I almost went to Japan in high school our city is sister cities with a city in Japan but they had a power plant leak or something and my Dad didnt want me to go i went to the Dominican Republic instead
I would go to Japan for the food.
I want Tako Sushi rolls.
I would try all their “American” food. I bet they do some of it better than we do.
Just gotta make sure it has no shirako in it.
My former friend wanted to go to Japan bc of that Fast and The Furious movie. Tokyo Drift I think. Guess he wants to meet up and watch street races.
Meh!
Would you believe Tokyo Drift is the only Fast and Furious movie I’ve ever watched? I watched it because the youth in it was the kid in the movie Sling Blade.
Ive watched drift racing in real life. Its pretty wild!
I was very interested in Japan as a kid, and I’d love to learn some of the philosophy and mythology of the country. Would definitely be thrilled to learn the language, but honestly, Chinese and Korean are before it on my list for languages. But going there? That’d be cool. Hubby was stationed there for a while, though, and he has no intention of going back. Instead, I’d go for Scotland as a result. They had that ponies in sweaters ad, and they sold me on that. Also, I now want a pony in a sweater.
I hope you get to go to Japan. I’m guessing you mean mainland. Pictures look so cool. Be sure to read up on public niceties, etc beforehand. Countries always differ from place to place, but I’m sure you know that. ![]()
