I’m sure this is the reason I prefer things written down for me , or to have the time (slow handwriting) to write down myself what has been said to me .
However having said that I’d say in that the words are written down for you to remember as opposed to spoken for you to remember there’s a visual element to it too. I think some people would be good at visualising the word pairs in their head .
I tried that test. It doesn’t make sense. How can you memorize pairs if they have no logical connection? I wouldn’t base your verbal memory off this test
Yeah I guess it’s easier for people who have photographic memories. It makes more competition I think but if you think about it, if you get a low score, that may be because all those people with photographic memories scored before you
