So after a long 22 years of life I’m finally living out of home, and taking my medication when I’m supposed to be. I don’t really know why I wanted to post this, apart from the fact that some of you may be able to understand my small feeling of achievement despite it being petty and average.
Did you guys get off to a good start in the year? If not, what was the best part of 2017 for you?
Promise it’s not all bad. Dx is closer to learning how to manage your symptoms. I know it feels like it sucks. I hope you feel a lot better soon. Keep that hope.
Hey, don’t sell yourself short. What you have achieved is great. It’s not a small thing, living outside your parents house; it’s a huge thing. Give yourself enough credit, it’s not petty or average, its quite an accomplishment. And realizing you need medication and taking it regularly is a huge thing too because not everybody can do that.
Personally, things are OK for me. No major changes (luckily). No crisis’s. Works OK, I still get out most days. Still thinking I’m cool cruising around in my car listening to Beatles CD’s while marveling at my own chutzpah as the speeding schizophrenic facing traffic most mornings and occasionally giving bad drivers the evil eye.
Life can be sweet. Not everybody at work likes me but at least I don’t feel like anybody hates me. There probably are a few (there has to be) but I am blissfully oblivious to stuff like that. All in all its been a good three weeks in 2018.
Happy for you @doojay Running a business is energy concuming. So it’s not easy for you. If I had enough energy, I would have been running my own business ,too.
So far my 2018 has been not bad. My chronic fatigue has not been worse but seems subsiding slowly. I told myself to be patient , which means I might need much longer time to recover than I had anticipated.
Since the 3rd week of January began, me left shoulder and left knee have been giving me minor pain. Today will be the 4th day in a row where I haven’t lifted weights or ran fast at all. What I’ve been doing is been walking slowly for an hour. But before my injuries, the transition from 2017 to 2018 has been the same. Breaking new running records and lifting weights to maintain my strength.
