How to remain on disability so I can keep taking Latuda?

I’m afraid they’ll cancel my disability because I’ve been getting better with Latuda. Problem is there’s no way I could afford to take Latuda without Medicaid and this is the only med that has been able to help my negative symptoms. Should I make it seem like I still hear voices so when my review comes up I can remain on disability?

I think it’s very unlikely they take you off disability on those grounds. But I’m not from the US so I don’t really know. Try not to worry about it too much. Hope others can shed some light in this matter.

i am 100% honest about everything…so ’ no ’ you should tell the truth.
you said you are getting ’ better '…
you did not say you are ’ cured. '…
take the meds… :pill:
let the pdoc/shrink make the decision whether you are ’ cured ’ or not :deciduous_tree:
take care :alien:

I’m on latuda and haldol. I have kind of been getting better. But I’m sure there are side effects and other symptoms. That’s what the therapist have noticed and put down during my SSI review last year.

If you need to take an AP drug, chances are that you still need disability. Get your doctor to write you a note saying you are under his care still and you are still disabled and that you have schizophrenia. A diagnosis of schizophrenia should keep you on disability. Just because you’re improving doesn’t mean you aren’t disabled still.

It’s very unlikely that you’ll be kicked off. According to my research, it’s on SS to prove that you are no longer disabled. Unlike when you applied, where it was on you to prove you were. There is no need to lie. Can you work? If the answer is no, just tell them why you can’t work. If you can work, well, work.
