How to choose a supplement

Is this stuff regulated? How do I know that what I’m getting is safe and is what is being advertised? Not the purported health effects, but I mean the dose and the potency or quality.

I’m trying to find some l-theanine and there’s a bunch of different brands from all sorts of weird sounding companies.

How do you choose a supplement?

These are the brand I use. I’ve also gotten some gummies from Whole Foods.

The best L-theanine is one that says “suntheanine” on the label. It’s a patented process.

Edit: the one @LED mentioned is also “suntheanine”

I don’t recommend the “now” brand of L-theanine as it’s got whole green tea leaves. And there’s been suggestions that this can cause liver damage.
