My testosterone has also been abysmally low for like 5-6 years. I was in the 350ish ng/dl range a couple months ago.

I reckon if I was at 700-800ng/dl I would have at least 1.5 times the current strength.

At my strongest I could bench press 175k or 386lbs and dead lift. 226k or 500 lbs
Jerk and clean 143k or 315lbs.

When I was in my early 20’s and lifting consistantly, my 1 rep max for the bench press was 345 pounds and squat was 395 pounds.

Wow that’s so impressive. I’ve had injuries over the years which got in the way of lifting. With no injuries I would have lifted for 11 years. And I would probably be benching 225lbs or more. I want to get to a 225lb bench in two years from now.

When I was in my prime excersise wise I benched 75kg 1 time as max. My bodyweight at the time was 75kg.

Now I just work out to maintain a decent strenght. 5kg dumbbells, yoga…nothing heavy. My health sets limits for the excersising.

I need to pay attention but love this thread.

Male. 6’2" . Currently 84.9 kgs.

Bench on the smith. 50kgs and usually 8 or so reps. I will try and max out and see how I do but I reckon I could punch out larger for less reps.

Arm curls usually do around 17.5 kgs…You’ve piqued my interest as to max without the reps so I’ll get back to you.

I am determined to up my game this year so looking around for a good program as have the gear these days.

Good post.

sheesh, I feel lucky doing isometrics and you guys are benching and squatting hundreds of pounds…no thank you…don’t want to be that big.

I’m kinda stupid for doing 1rm in some exercises. But maybe you could test a 3 rep max cos it’s far safer.

I’m just so addicted to low reps and heavy. Makes my workouts easier and less exhausting. I reckon more bang for my buck strength wise too.

In my early days I could easily lift heavier objects including weights.

Today lifting is a bit more challenging but I do ok.

Right now the dumbbells I use are 7.5 pounds each
