My earliest memories at age 3 were of hallucinating vividly. I’ve dealt with paranoia since even before I can remember when I was 2 and talked to my mom about there being ghosts in my room. Growing up I dealt w crippling fear that I was in danger in some way and as a kid would hide in different areas of my house at night so whatever I believed was hunting me at the time wouldn’t find me. Every night was hell and I just spent hoping and praying that I’d survive until morning. I believed I was not human and actually a werewolf starting from the time I was 5 and this belief lasted years until i went through a flurry of spiritual delusions in my teens.

I’ve always been off.

Haha yeah it was a little overwhelming spending months of my life in psychiatric wards as a teen. I feel like I’m a little institutionalised due to it.

I’m 41, diagnosed at 30. Had symptoms since 27.

I’m 24. Diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at age 16. Then re-diagnosed with psychotic depression at age 24. Literally 5 days ago, my doctor realized that I was misdiagnosed and changed the diagnosis.

I am 40.

Symptoms started at 15, suffered in silence for five years, until I tried to kill myself at age 20. Was misdiagnosed with depression at that time, then bipolar 1 with psychosis when I was 23, then schizoaffective bipolar-type at 24 or 25.
