How often do you see your therapist and pdoc?

I see my pdoc once every 4 to 6 weeks for about 30 to 45 minutes (med check up) and I see my therapist twice a week for an hour. I like my therapist better than my pdoc. How often do you see your Therapist and pdoc?

I seen a therapist shortly after leaving the hospital for a short time. Now 15 years later I just see my doc Every 6 months

I do remember the days when I couldn’t get in soon enough, seemed like forever to wait a couple weeks.

I see my psychiatrist fortnightly for about half an hour.

Psychiatrist monthly

Therapist I call her when I need her, I cheat her out of appointments with long phone calls though

But she likes talking to me I think

I see my psychiatrist about every 2 weeks.
I used to see my psychologist - therapist every week.
Haven’t seen my therapist in a while, more than a month - ever since getting off my Antipsychotic.

I will go back to my therapist once I get a diagnosis from my psychiatrist.
She can no longer diagnose me with bipolar type 1 or Schizoaffective disorder - although I have experienced a couple of brief illusions and brief visual disturbances, they were not true hallucinations, they were closer to pseudo hallucinations . No psychosis or delusions.

I do have some form of rapid cycling bipolar, but it seems to be more on the milder side.

I also display anxiety symptoms like anxiety, panic attacks, OCD symptoms, agoraphobia, social anxiety.

The Schizophrenia type symptoms I’m experiencing are paranoia, social withdrawal, Negative Symptoms.

I am baffled myself, I was always told by my psychiatrists that I suffered from Bipolar type 1 or Schizoaffective.

I also suffer from some Derealization.

The bottom line is that I still have trouble functioning because of my paranoid related social anxiety and extreme awkwardness around people.

@Wave Do you have any symptoms ever like delusions or hallucinations?

Yes, I suffered from severe delusions for years and also experienced a pretty intense visual experience - hallucination really once, now that I think about it my hallucinations in the past were really pseudo hallucinations.

I am almost positive that I became delusional and full blown psychotic after I was prescribed a tricyclic antidepressant - imipramine. I remained on it for years.
It also worsened my bipolar symptoms.
My psychosis could have been drug induced.

i see my psychiatrist every 2 months but they change a lot, i havent had a steady one since being diagnosed and that was for about 4-5 years starting 2003

apart from that i am hoping to get a psychologist as the psychiatrist mentioned that a while ago,

and i have changed my support worker to an ips specialist who will hopefully help me into employment. i expect to see him in a couple of weeks

once in a every month…!!!

I see my nurse practitioner every 6 months or so. In the early days it was once a week if an inpatient and once a month otherwise.

I see my pdoc once a month for 10 - 15 minutes. I don’t have a therapist, but I do have a case manager. We have daily groups with him. The rest of the time is unstructured, which I like.

I see my doc every 3 months for 15 minutes and I see my case manager about once every two weeks no therapist

I’ve been seeing my pdoc once a month lately for 30-45 minutes. I hadn’t seen my social worker since October last year, but saw her recently to catch up. Thinking of making another appt with her soon.

sadly I dont even have a therapist… and only talk to my nurce every second week :frowning:

I see my pdoc every month

Compared to all of you, I see my Therapist a lot. That will probably slow down when school starts.

I see my therapist every 3 or 4 weeks.
I was seeing my pdoc every three months, but now I’m seeing him every month.

i see both my psychiatrist and psychologist every week.

Wow! That’s a lot to see your pdoc, @anon7022989 I wish mine had that kind of time for me. Most people see their pdoc every month or even every few months.
