I don’t really suffer from positive symptoms, they’re pretty much controlled with 15mg of Abilify.

What happens to you at night, symptoms wise?

TRIGGER WARNING
For me, I’ve had the occasional bad night in past week, i prefer not to go into all the details, but it’s like I hear screams from a housemate. Or hungry dogs for human flesh. The smell of rotting human flesh hallucination gets to me. Or a random persons energy in my mind, wanting to kill me. Just like random loud quick, disturbing noises from outside. The energy doesn’t seem to let me sleep. Or I wake in the night from some one brashly clapping clapping their hands tgthr. Maybe tonight will be okay.

Night is scary cos ppl are asleep, and… It is dark.

That sounds like full on psychosis. Your positive symptoms aren’t managed at all.

I think you have to admit to yourself that the dose of Abilify you’re on isn’t doing anything to help. What are you on again (was it 2mg)?

But you need to tell your psychiatrist what you wrote above and go on a higher dose like 10mg.

I’m sorry I know that’s not what you want to hear.

I get more anxious and a little sad, sometimes some nightmares, it’s hard to sleep like this

Like if this continues, I will go on a higher dose. So far this past 6 days, it was like this for 2 nights. It might reduce.

I’m on 2.5 mg though I did raise it to 5mg for 2 days.

i have the energy thing as well. i still feel it sometimes and im not psychotic. several times this summer i saw the way night looks on acid. wasnt dusturbing it was more like seeing an old friend.

that and i saw a fractal portal looking pattern when i smoked. it was weird. like a door.

Thanks Zoa. My GP appointment is on 24th August. I have to get a referral for mental health team that day…

What you described is really terrible, can you phone your pdoc and ask for earlier appointment

They told me if it continues to go to the A N E

I really get scared in mental hospitals.

I try to avoid accident n emergency for that reason.

But if it continues like that… I probably will.

I get different hallucinations from different areas, that I feel reflect the area. Also medical problems always make them worse. You may be in a bad area or have something making you sick.

6 days actually. Might be okay though. I have got my family whom I’m confident might come to me if it gets really bad. Thanks.

I tend to hear a lot of loud voices (male), in the air conditioning in the evening. I usually don’t hear them as much in the daytime. Don’t know why. They don’t bother me.

@Zoe @everhopeful is right.
2.5mg of Abilify is like taking nothing at all.
5mg is for an add on for depression.
You really need to be on at least 10mg of Abilify to treat your psychosis.

Your positive symptoms sound scary.

I would talk to your doctor as soon as possible if I were you

my symptoms take all of that away, i dont get positive or negative symptoms, unmedicated it was worse at night i got so scared that i would die in my sleep that i would stay awake until i started to hallucinate.
