Hearing a low growl, not a great sign. Is it Abilify?

If it gets worse, or more aggressive I’m calling my doctor and going to the hospital.

I was so concerned I told my husband,

Which is rare to say the very least.

Is it the Abilify or did I just exhaust myself last night trying to be normal?

Maybe it’ll go away,

I don’t know what to do…

If in doubt call the doctor.

I take abilify and when I was in the ward last week I heard a low growl that sounded like thunder.

Get plenty of sleep tonight, see if that helps.

Yes to the sleep.

That’s pretty much what my husband said.

He wants me to get some good rest tonight and we can reevaluate tomorrow morning.

Still, I can handle weird stuff,

But I hate the scary stuff.

I hear ya. My hallucinations bothered me, too, but then I was fully delusional every time. I only hallucinate during psychotic breaks. Scared the hell out of me the first time.

I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Abilify is a weak Antipsychotic, maybe it’s not doing it’s job.
Sometimes Abilify can trigger psychosis.

Either way I would contact your doctor immediately.

Try to get some rest in the meantime.

Take care of yourself.

I think there’s only one case of that reported. But who knows… Seroquel triggered psychosis for me so it’s possible.

I’m not sure about that either

Abilify may have triggered hallucinations in my case.
Either way it’s a partial dopamine agonist.
These type of drugs can worsen anxiety and in some instances trigger or worsen psychosis.
Although it may be rare.

Every so often on the side effects for clinical trials of anti psychotics, you’ll see side effects reported like “schizophrenia.” And I’m reading it, saying to myself, no sh!t, Sherlock. But I guess that must be it.

Of course, it occurs more frequently in the placebo group, usually.

I hope your hallucinations go away OP. Because a growl would terrify me. I heard a growl once before, outside my window. Was not very fun.
