Every omega I buy says one or two each day.I think you need to take more,inspite they say it’s maximum.I live in Europe,and take natrol or now food.
I think you should not take more than the recommended dosage.
If you’re going to take more, then you need pharmaceutical grade fish oil. Otherwise you might get mercury toxicity.

I take 4 grams per day (4 capsules)

Don’t worry about omega’s. Omega 3 is good for you while omega 6 is bad. Too confusing to have to remember which number is good, which is bad, ect. They are all fatty acids. Just stick with monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats and check your nutrition label/check nutrition facts on the internet and es bueno.
The studies suggest a range of 600mg EPA and 400mg DHA to 1200 mg EPA and 800 mg DHA. So something in that range.

According to the FDA, it is safe to take up to 3,000 mg of omega-3 (DHA and EPA) per day.
It’s not the same as 3,000mg of fish oil. A 1,000 mg fish oil usually contains about 300-400 mg of omega-3 (DHA and EPA). One capsule of prescription omega-3 Lovaza 1,000 mg contains the total of 840mg of omega-3 (465mg of EPA and 375mg of DHA). The daily dose for Lovaza is 4 caps/day or 3,360mg of omega 3/day.
Most omega-3 supplements come from fish oil, but fish has traces of heavy metals like mercury & PCBs, dioixins etc. Choose a fish oil purified via pharmaceutical-grade molecular distillation AND triglyceride form to make digestible. Ideally it’s assayed by 3rd parties. Reliable brands include Metagenics, Xymogen and Nordic Naturals. Some feel krill and calamari oil are better than fish oil.

Does he give a reccomendation on DHA?
Only because the studies indicate both are useful in sz.
No, he doesn’t but I get about 600mg DHA with the 1000mg EPA and it seems to help a lot.
From his research, EPA is the most important for sz and DHA is good for mood.
I was told the same thing.
EPA has weak Antipsychotic properties.
I use a pure EPA Fish Oil - Vascepa.
I use one called Omega Triple, it has 500mg of EPA so I take 2 a day. Vascepa sounds even better
