How much do you spend on your food shopping a week or month?

I got a huge 900g block of cheese from Aldi last week, Its mild cheddar. I’ve made 4 meals out of it plus cheese and cumber sandwiches and there is still nearly half left. It was under £5 for the block so will definitely be buying it again. I’m going to make a Mac and cheese pasta bake with the rest of it.

I love the frill of economy shopping. I spent £40 on an online shop this week, I only need to go into the supermarket and get £20s worth of shopping on Thursday. I’m aiming to spend £150 a 4/week month on food shopping. Don’t need cleaning supplies as the group home provide these.

Well when I was living alone I would go to the grocery store every other day.

Now when I’m back I’ll be living with my mom till September. Until then I won’t have to pay for groceries.

Interesting fact about cheese I learned when I went to nutritionist. Even though milk has significant carbs, and cheese is made with milk, there are little to no carbs in cheese because they are removed in the process of making it.

Are carbs bad for you?

No but our modern diet has a lot of them so best to cut back a lot of the time especially refined sugar

If we include supplements I’d say around 15€ a day, including the occasional time eating out, the water filters, the water itself etc.

Too many carbs when your diabetic is bad for you because carbs turn into glucose(sugar) which moves into the bloodstream and causes high blood sugar.

Carbs are a complex subject and I’m not a dietician, but I would suggest that moderation of carbs is probably a good idea for a healthy person without diabetes.

Then there’s the keto diet to lose weight and stuff…which maybe you can look up yourself because, as I said, I am not a dietician.
