How much do you pay for your abilify?

So it went generic a couple years. I just started
It a week Or so ago. I have been on haldol because of the price but it was time to move on. I priced it and was shocked to find that walmart was over $600s my sister gets hers from her insurance for over 200$ and I payed cash, no insurance At Sam’s with the advantage membership card that’s 100$ a year. Mine was $25 or so. These are all Generic 2 mg prices. So shop around guys. Go to
Good RX.com and you can get some comparisons. Sams isn’t on there but there are discounts given For going through good. Even Walmarts 600$ abilify came down to $300.

I know this isn’t what u asked but my question is does 2 mg abilify work for u for your symptoms? And is that the only ap you are on? I haven’t tried it yet and usually am at the lowest dose of ap’s I just know they recommend 10 for abilify and so far have only heard of people doing well at 5.

That’s a good question. I know it helps my sister she’s on the same and has been for some time. But I really don’t understand her diagnosis but she has had phycosis. I’ve only been on the meds for one week. So far so good. But it’s to early to tell. I called my Dr and he called it in for me so I don’t think he plans on increasing it unless I get symtoms, as I don’t have an appointment for four months. I was on 4 mg haldol and couldn’t go any lower without paranoia. If I went down to three mg after a week or so I would think people were plotting against me. So I’m pretty sensitive to it and will call the Dr if needed. But I do take 200 mg Zoloft that he said I could probably take less in the summer if I wanted to try to cut back. Pharmacist talked like he probably will slowly increase it to get less side effects. But he didn’t mention anything about that to me.

That is a little concerning to me I’ll have to be cautious and double up if anything Surfaces, I’ll call the Dr if I feel strange at all , Thanks for the info.

Yea, I do know 10 mg is the starting therapeutic dose for sz, but I’ve read some people on here who get by with 5. Keep in touch- my goal is to stay as low as humanly possible and this would be great info for me to know as abilify would be my next choice. Good luck!

Is lower for adults than teens I read a bit about it and 2-15 is the range for adults, I also like to stay Abit above minimum.

What do you take now?

I used to be on invega sustenna the lowest dosage. It was horrible. That was 7 months ago and it’s still in my body, so I haven’t had to take anything yet. Soon I’ll be starting latuda 20mg. I picked it over abilify bc it had a better profile for weight management.

I live in Canada and my Abilify is fully covered by the national health insurance, so I don’t have to worry about paying for it.

I was paying 20% of the cost which was $75. It added up really quickly in just 4 months. However, I Just got “extra help” and now it is $1.75 a month

I was told by a psychiatrist that 5MG is pediatric dose. 10MG is the starting dose for abilify.
