I always get my days and nights turned around on the weekends. It makes for a rough Monday. I’ve always had trouble falling asleep. I’m doing good if I fall asleep two hours after I go to bed. I might try to stay up all night tonight.
I have trouble falling asleep every night. It usually takes me about 3 to 4 hours to actually get to sleep after I lay down. This has become a recent phenomenon. I wonder if it has to do with sz or the meds I’m on.
I have some serious issues with it. When I can’t workout, I end up having trouble sleeping and it can get pretty bad. I have a sinus infection and it’s cold and raining for the next few days and it rained today. I think it’s dumb to run in cold rain when I am on antibiotics for a sinus infection.
So I went and bought some crap called zzzquil at the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist to pull up my file and see if it is okay on my meds. Apparently it is.
I already went free association in the bathroom when I stepped out of the shower, looks like I will be taking the damn zzzquil soon.
Insomnia sucks. I have to workout and not drink caffeine after the morning to sleep normally. I know a psychologist who has it really badly. He got his PhD this summer, he was in charge of me last semester. If he can’t figure it out, well ■■■■.
So I workout six days a week, it helps. Couldn’t workout today. Oh well. I’ll just take the zzzquil in half an hour and then if that doesn’t work it’s uh choke the chicken until it’s dead.
It’s really not fun. I wish I had a power button to shut myself down with. Like a droid, like R2D2.
Me too. 15 15 15 15
I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I always have. One of the reasons I really like haldol is that it at least lets me get a nap in once in a while. Anxiety meds are about the only thing that helps me at all. I try to follow the basic sleep hygiene type advice. I don’t stay in bed for more than 30 minutes if I can’t sleep, I get up and do something boring. I don’t have electronics in my bedroom. I keep my room cool and dark. I have a set bed/wake time regardless of day of week.
For a while my window ac unit was smelling weird, so I put a car air freshener thing in it and it made my bedroom smell different than the rest of my apartment. Ended up helping with my sleep a little because it’s like my bedroom smelled like sleep. But then I got used to it and it didn’t help anymore.
I always have trouble falling asleep since I started taking antipsychotics. It usually took me 3 hours to get into sleep. So I have been taking seroquel to help it. I take 25 mg seroquel before bed. It works wonder.
I have the opposite effect . i sleep a lot
Zyprexa knocks me out 2 to 3 hours after I take it and I’m not very sedated in the morning.
I have trouble initiating sleep; Always have had that trouble!
