How many of us have played a musical instrument or do still?

I’d appreciate it if someone can add a poll.

does my voice count as a musical instrument?

I have played piano and violin though

I would say so. As much as stomping your feet in rhythm.

I once decided to learn piano by myself. Many months later, I was able to play almost all the second movement of the Sonata Pathétique by Beethoven. I wasn’t playing it the right way but I could play correctly all the notes. Someday, I wasn’t interested anymore by piano so I stopped. I’m not sure I could play it again.

I mainly play flute but I can also play piccolo decently and play violin pretty badly. I’m pretty darn good at flute but I don’t play much anymore since I don’t have any band activities.

Yes I love the concertina. And the didgeridoo.

I used to take guitar lessons on a regular old guitar in my teen years, but then I would only make up songs when I was mentally ill and needed to distract my brain during my 20’s, so I lost my memory of all the chords.
Now, I use the computer to make music. I had some major creative periods like a decade ago, but right now I’m like meh

I play an 88-key digital keyboard. Learned this later in life after SZ.

Do you feel it helps as a coping mechanism?

I play the piano a little bit, but I don’t “make” music, I simply reproduce what other, more talented people have created.
