How many do you do? (Push ups)

So i used to be able to do like 40 to 50 push ups in a row. These days i started trying to do them again, and wowee. I can only do like 14 max. Its amazing how strength diminishes over a few years of being sedentary and lazy. But i do think that being overweight makes it a lot harder now. I used to be around 75 kilos as a 6ft 3in male. Now im around 94 kilos. I got all the way up to 110 kilos for a while until i started running and eating better. Im planning on doing push ups every day. Pretty easy to just drop at any moment and start doing them. No equipment or gym attire required.
So anyway, how many do/can you do? (Also, any tips or suggestions for workout stuff at home is very welcome.)

Situps are also good, and the bow for your back.

Having no backpain since I practise that.

From that I can do the things I want or getting fast fitter for ie woodwork, gardenwork and so on

Yes.

When you train your front it can’t be wrong to train your back too.

before I got sick I did 4 sets of 25 push ups, stationary bike and yoga morning and evenings…every other day…in between days I did four sets of 25 sit ups and the rest of the routine…I was in excellent shape, but I was prodromal too.

I haven’t done pushups in forever but if I had to estimate how many I can do in a row at the moment, id say somewhere in the 20 to 30 range.

When I was 100 pounds lighter than I am right now I could do a good amount in a row.

That sounds like an awesome routine. What kinda sickness did you get that stops you?

20 to 30 is pretty good! I cant seem to do more than 14 at the moment haha. Need ti build up my stength. Ive only focused on cardio since i started taking more care of myself.

Walking and cardio are really good i reckon. For clarity of mind and physical fitness among other benefits. I used to do some resistance band stuff. Pretty cool way to work out!

I do 10-20 x3 on the wall standing up, that’s really all I can do these days. Maybe I’ll try some on my knees at some point, but I need to get more consistant for that, which depends on how I sleep from day to day.

Ive heard of wall push ups. Good way if need to work up to it. Yeah sleep is a biggy. I slept 2 hours the night before last. Felt like i was starting to lose it yesterday arv. But had a nice long sleep last night. So important!

About ten. Maybe a few more if I cheat on the range of motion.
