How healthy is your lifestyle?

I’ve gained 30kg in 6 months because of comfort food. I also smoke about 10 cigarettes a day. Now I am trying to eat small portions of healthy food every 3 hours. I can’t discipline myself for exercising so I don’t count how much time did I exercise but from time to time I do crunches, weights or lunges. I meditate not every day. I am unemployed. I try to note down everything I do during the day that was overwhelming for me to help me cope with depression. Small successes - like taking a bath, walking the dog, cleaning the fridge.
What about you? Do you try to cultivate a healthy lifestyle?
Please, share your ways of coping. <3

I manage a relatively healthy lifestyle. I take long walks (very long) 2 or 3 times a week. My diet is good, rarely any junk and I cook the food.

I drink just a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and the rest is just water and tea. Occasionally I might have a soda.

I don’t smoke or drink but I do vape.

I get out to groups a couple of times a week to socialise and improve skills and have family time at weekends but for overall health would soon like to do volunteer work.

It took ages to quit smoking and was difficult quitting soda. I think taking topiramate helps me with my diet because I do t crave sugar and I heard that. It is hard to stay motivated but the more active I am the more active I want to be.

That’s how. I hope this helps.

Is there a scale below zero?
Mine would be -10.

I eat junk food and vape a lot, and I’m not very active, but I do try to have a mentally healthy lifestyle.
It’s important to me to take care of my mental health, and I do my best to keep sane.

Except for not being very active, I lead a pretty healthy life. eat a lot of vegies and fruit, no sugar; drink only a cup of coffee daily, no alcohol; go to bed around 11pm, no stay up late; no smoke, no video games.

As unhealthy as it’s ever been.

I rarely go outside to get fresh air.

Haven’t worked out since grade 9 P.E. other than the occasional walk when I’m mad.

I do not eat enough. Just don’t have an appetite. Sometimes I only have a small meal a day. I miss loving food, I really enjoyed it.

When I do it, it’s all crap. Candy, chocolate, bread, energy drinks, fast food. I’m very broke though, so we often don’t have groceries.

I smoke. Want to stop that. I’m only 21 and I’ve smoked for 8 years. Don’t want to get to 10.

Can’t go anywhere without losing my breath. You’d never know I’m out of shape though, I’m blessed with an awesome body.

Oh right, I also drink probably 2 glasses of water a year. I’ve always hated it, even as a kid. So that two glasses of water is actually just an accumulation of sips of water I take to swallow pills or get rid of dry mouth.

I sleep very poorly, either oversleep or undersleep. And when I undersleep (quite frequently) I either don’t sleep all night or fall asleep at 7AM after lying in bed all night looking at the ceiling. When I oversleep, I can sleep 16+ hours.

I really want to get healthy though. Do yoga and have vitamins and wake up early and meditate and quit smoking and go outside more. Maybe even make myself drink water.

This is pretty much impossible right now though due to depression.

Well in the past I’ve gained about 25 pounds from Zyprexa. So I’m eating more healthier and increasing my basketball workouts to an hour and a half to help lose the excess weight.

A lot healthier than it was 1 year ago. I’ve lost 80lbs and gave up smoking 3 months ago. Now, I’m trying to maintain the status quo, but I could probably stand to eat healthier foods and be more mentally well social activities.

I have a pretty healthy diet, but I’m largely sedentary at the moment, so overall not very healthy. I could also probably use to take some vitamins, but I don’t. They’re so expensive.

I have a fairly healthy lifestyle.

I jog every morning, well, most mornings,

Never eat fast food and cook healthy,

Hike three times a week,

With few exceptions, I’m pretty healthy.

Of course, everyone has their off days and today was mine,

The trick is not to make a habit.

Still sneak a secret cigarette most every day and smoke ungodly amounts of cannabis, but I’m unwilling to give those up…

I drink a lot of alcohol and don’t eat. Not the healthiest thing but it’s whatever

I really do try but it is so very difficult I have a lot of respect for those who do as it takes incredible discipline. At my best I was following a healthy diet and working out 5 days a week, but I’ve been slacking for months now. Working out my diet now is so hard as when I get back from work and whatnot I’m so tired I don’t have energy to cook and just eat fast food. My mom makes me breakfast usually of eggs and waffles and fruit.

I just signed up for a gym membership and my parents are paying for personal training which my first session of is tomorrow! I really want to get back on track!!

As for substances I have never smoked/done drugs never will, and I’ve definitely reduced my drinking. I’ve also been very good w hygiene lately.

I don’t smoke
I don’t Vape
I don’t drink booze
I don’t do illicit drugs
I don’t exercise much
I try to avoid sweets
I’m over weight and fed up.

I have to take my meds.

I used to be 165 lbs at 5’10’’ before the meds, at my lowest. Was 185 when I started taking Paliperidone, now am 238, somewhat stable there. I’m pondering liposuction, but before that I want to switch to Rexulti, since some people lose weight on it.

I bike 30 mins a day and eat 2-3 good portioned meals a day, but I am very sedentary otherwise. Kind of falling apart healthwise.

Hope I can somehow eke out a productive lifestyle with the right dietary changes, that might allow me to wake up early and keep focused on my home business.

I start by acknowleging that staying home with out a routine is disasterous.(all working people have a routine)

2.I set an alarm for the same time as my working household members. No sleeping in /oversleeping.

3.Pay my way. I work in the house doing chores such as cleaning, laundry. etc.
I acknowledge those working are tired when they get here, and that they pay my rent. I work here, so that they can truely have liesure time.

I dont always have a full m-f 8-5 busy kind of schedulr here, but if I did nothing, life would be very unpleasant for us all.

  1. Food. I am in charge of it. I emphisize regular sized lean meat portions, salads that are really meals(not humgry later), solid fats are avoided as much as possible(butter, recipes relying heavily on dairy products, ect).

I DO go for flavor and strive to excell with use of spices and other flavoring methods.

  1. If i am not busy, i do hobbies. if all my hobbies seem boring to me, it is cause i havent been outside in a while.(acknowledge we all need a change of scenery sometimes). I walk at least Twice a week.

That is all that comes to mind now.
