How fast would I become psychotic if I quit my meds

If at all? I hope not

I can go a day without but past that I start experiencing stuff. It’s different for diff people depending on your dose, how long you’ve been on the med, your symptom severity, etc.

What do you mean by ”stuff”?

Based on your track record. I would say less than a week.

I was once without meds for like a month tho and had no symptoms whatsoever

You have the withdrawals to look forward to first,

Then the psychosis.

What are the withdrawal symptoms?

Depends on what you’re on, dosage and how long you’ve been taking it,

But they’re never good.

Stopping your meds will make you sick.

I’ve heard of successful attempts to stop meds

I heard of a lot of â– â– â– â– .

That doesn’t make it the right thing for me to do.

If you want off meds, you need to do it with the help of your doctor.

how long to the point of no return. of meds

I can go 1 day, but after that I start having symptoms, which worsen as time goes on. Not to mention the withdrawals.

I have never heard of anyone on clozapine managed to stop medicine entirely, only 10% doesn’t relapse after 2 years after stopping medicine.

Average time to relapse is about a year, but those on clozapine might relapse faster. Choice is still yours to make but if you are non-compliant, they have the rights to charge you and inject you with antipsychotic or zap your brain with ect.

That case you gonna end up with more side effects than what you have currently

Ect without permission isnt legal here
Also I would start my meds again if I started having symptoms

Lol, permission is only for those with insight. Those with lack of insight such as mental illness, you cannot decide whether you should take ect or not, it’s the doctor who decides for your best interest.

You can confirm what I just said with your doctor. And if you are inconsistent with medicine, there is a 1/6 chance that the same medicine might not work for you once you start having symptoms

I once quit my meds. After 6 months I relapsed. Now, I’m on a higher dose.

I came off my meds on my own once and lied to my psychiatrist about it for weeks. I wouldn’t recommend doing it. It took maybe 2 days for my voices to come back and became delusions again after a few days. Before my meds I didn’t have many delusions but after stopping them the delusions became stronger and it became harder for me to go back on meds over a year to be exact.

You need to take them for now

I was on Anti-Psychotics when I was 16, and I stopped them when I was 19 and didn’t have to take them again until I was 23.

Maybe you can do this, but that’s a doctor decision

Hopefully after a couple of years you can try coming off, and you might be lucky.

Hard question you’re asking without us knowing about the details of your case.

My advice would be to stabilise on meds for a while before considering this option. And get support doing it if you choose from doctors

I don’t think there is a way to tell for certain. You could become psychotic as early as 3-4 half lifes of your medication. Your medication would no longer be at a therapeutic level and mostly gone from your body.
