Does it effect your memory or cognition?
Risperdal+Sarcosine both increase Glutamate receptors function (NMDA etc). So they both theoretically improve negative symptoms. Glutamate is the stimulatory neurotransmitter of the brain. I will try them in a month when I see my psychiatrist.
So your adding risperdal to latuda?
No, switching from Latuda to Risperdal+Sarcosine.
Why The switch?
Negative symptoms. I can’t get rid of them with any other med.
Oh. Well I hope it helps
@LovelyCreature, thought insertion is when you perceive, (not hear), the thoughts of other people around you.
@LovelyCreature, yes it does. Adversely. Thought insertion is a form of psychosis. And every time a person has an episode of psychosis, their memory and cognition is adversely affected a little more.
Oh wow i had no idea. Ive been having intermittent psychosis for a year now. So theres hope i will get better once im stable on risperdone?
How did the switch go?
Negative symptoms are the same. Positive symptoms better. Made me sleepy so I started drinking coffee and black tea all day.
Thought insertion is when you can sense other people’s thoughts. Like telepathy. And it is not a good experience either. More like pure torture in fact.
