How do you lose weight and have it stay off?

I’m trying to counter every thought about food with a solution meaning i don’t have to eat that - (unless it’s allowed)

this is like a brain training like where someone replaces negative thoughts with positive ones.

This could really work - i just need extra rules to get weight down i’m 191 lbs

Control portion size and don’t eat fatty foods. Exercise. (Preferably at least 30 mins a day at least 5 days a week, vigorously, ie yoga doesn’t count unless it’s hardcore, something like running on treadmill is good)

Stop doing those things you gain weight. Certain medications can make it incredibly difficult to lose weight even if you do eat right and exercise because they affect the metabolism so keep that in mind. There are meds that are supposed to be more weight neutral.

I’m 250lbs I hate it. Before meds in 2009 I was 144lbs. I am gonna start getting on treadmill 5 days a week for 30 mins a day for 4 months. I wonder how much weight I’d lose if I did that??? Anybody got a guess ???

For me it was training my stomach to feel full by eating less and I just keep basic amount of food in the fridge, over the winter I gained 5 lbs over my ideal weight in my mind of 165 lbs.

I also drink more fluids to make up for not eating as much, not the ideal diet for everyone, but it works for me, had I not started to diet the weight would have just got out of control again.

I don’t over eat and I have been thin for my whole life except for between 11 and 12 (I am 48)

The only reason I am 10# over my pre MI weight is meds. I eat exactly the same as I did before. If I went off meds (which I won’t) I’d be back down to 122 and could wear my old jeans. Sucks.

I have no advice beyond don’t overeat and get regular exercise.

Good luck with your weight loss efforts.
