Do they go away conpletely? Do you gain insight? Or do they just sink to the back of your mind but you still believe them?
That’s pretty much what happened to a few of my delusions.
The positive symptoms are still there, but ignored easily enough. I don’t take them at all seriously and find much of it to ranges from silly to outright absured.
That seems to be whats happening with my matrix delusion. Usually my delusions go away conpletely.
For me. I still get delusions. Asking myself if people are real? But I can discard those thoughts with being rational, then they disappear! Meds do help.
I left my delusions behind after my first episode. I didn’t refute the delusions I just stopped thinking about them. I had a few jobs for a few years and a girlfriend, both invaluable experiences. I’ve had relapses a couple of times since due to quitting the medicine for awhile. I’m a believer in the medicine and I don’t work for a pharmaceutical, lol. Even still, I support people who want to try and live without it. That’s simply because the side effects can be bad.
Meds took my delusions away
I wonder, is it possible that the insight you gain while on medication can be used if you go off medication. Or will you just start believing the stuff again?
For me i started believing it again
My current issue with delusions is that I believe what my voices say.
Mine go away with meds but the irrational and illogical way of thinking stays there as well as the disinhibition.
