I threw my back out pulling up my pants and now it is very tender to walk or move now…my neighbor told me to contact a sports doctor…

I would recommend not seeing any kind if ‘sports’ doctor.
They’ll just get you hooked up on pain meds.
I just found out today that my back pain that ive had on and off for the last 5 years Is a bulging disc.
Easy fix!
Honestly I’d start at a back specialist first. Like an orthopedic doctor.

I swear, it’s hard to decide what is worse: The actual injury or the humilation of having to tell people HOW you injured yourself…
“I slept wrong.”
“I sneezed and my back went.”
“I strained during a bowel movement, and…”
Dignity, why hast thou forsaken thy elders?!? I just tell people I was hurt saving a schoolbus full of toddlers. Sounds more heroic than telling them I fell over while trying to clip a looonnnngg nose hair and that’s how I broke my hip.

it is getting a bit better today than yesterday but there is a bruise where the disc is on my back and it worries me a little…o k a lot…thanks @velociraptor I will see what I can find.

Take it easy man, let it heal up. It’s a bugger when your back goes for a walk in a different direction than you were going in.

I’ve been to probably 3 different chiropractors.
They always leave out the easy stuff you can find on the internet. And this easy stuff is sometimes the most helpful.

Yes, I know they have mix results. But it can be used in combination with other things. If it’s interfering with life, definitely need to see an orthopedic if possible. Most ortho doctors recommend physical therapy, weight loss, chiropractor and over the counter meds before they consider surgery. It’s a long difficult process for sure.

I’m all for physical medicine.
Health is also big.
I just wish there was some standard of treatment for chiropractors. I feel the same way about dentists. They’re all different and they all think the other dentists do it wrong.

As someone who experiences chronic pain, I’m all for medicine, too. Believe me the medical world is awesome.
