Hmmm, what should I post about?

I’m speechless. Led Zeppelin? Psyche wards? A joke? Turtles? Leprosy?
I got it!
No, I don’t, I forgot what I was going to say.

Beatles. The rest are in a tie.

I’m glad they put the Beatles on Spotify. I had their whole catalogue illegally and felt guilty every time i listened to it. now i can listen without guilt lol.

sucks that they were only making studio albums for 7 years.

What did you say about Turtles?

I think turtles are pretty cool and I didn’t know they can feel through their shells.

It wasn’t all Yoko Ono’s fault that they broke up though it was popular to blame it all on her. There were many factors as to why they broke up and much was going on behind the scenes.
Their whole catalog was not available on CD. There were like 4 or 5 of their albums that weren’t released on CD’s but I found the missing ones on E-Bay.

Yeah, first they conquered England. Than they made their American debut on the most popular show on American television in 1963, a variety show called “The Ed Sullivan Show”.
When the Beatles made their first appearance on that show the crime rate that night in the whole country went down by 60% because all the criminals were glued to their little black & white TV’s watching the Beatles perform.

that’s amazing. i bet they were huge.

signing off for the night everyone - keep fighting

Since we seem to have settled on The Beatles as a topic for this lost-at-sea thread ( :grinning: ), I can only say I completely, with every fibre of my being, despise The Beatles. They are my wife’s favorite band, but I’d rather listen to nails on a chalkboard. Now if we were to start talking about Hendrix, I’ll have a lot more positive things to say.

I like the Beatles’ reflective artistic side. Interesting, they took a lot of their ideas from real life. The magical Mystery Tour is waiting to take me away … I have a friend who used to live in England back then. She says there was a train you could get on that gave a Mystery Tour. You didn’t Know where you were going to until you ended up there.

Sure, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields were real places.

And Maxwell’s silver hammer - I wonder if it was about a real crime. I asked my brother about the silver hammer. He said yeah - the little hammer they test your reflexes with is silver. Maybe the song is based on a court case.

Yeah, it was kind of funny to write a pop song about a multiple murderer.

I looked it up on Wikipedia. It wasn’t based on any real crime.

I’d say you were really meta and broke the fourth wall of this forum by making this post which is good enough by me. :+1: We need more creative people like you who think outside of the box enough to break established misconceptions society constantly follows.

That precious reaction of Leonardo DiCaprio on Lady Gaga while she went to take her award last night made my day. :joy_cat:
