I only know one rolling stone song lol.
So my vote goes to the beatles.
Well and their songs are good.
Neither. But 13 floors elevators, Grateful Dead and the Byrds.
Haha! This was a tough choice, but I chose The Stones.
I wouldn’t go as far to say that they’re better than The Beatles, but I feel like their albums flow better and have fewer “trip” songs.
Especially Beggar’s Banquet and Exile On Main Street. Those are some gems!
The Beatles by far!
I like both, but my vote ultimately went to the Rolling Stones for the longevity alone.
My dad is a stones man but I favour the Beatles
The Beatles. Foe show! The Beats have strange songs sure but they have Sgt. Peppercorn and The White Album(s) going for them.
The Stones. The Beatles are somewhat corny to me
this would have been a good discussion 30 years ago. but the “the fix is in” some will gather favor, others will fight and claw for what’s truly theirs.
I like the Byrds music very much , but it sucked to learn McGuinn and Hillman are conservatives .
I like both, saw the stones, but love the Beatles. I love a lot of music
13 floor elevator singer was sz. I vote for him, cant google his name, it’s on my tongue
In 1968, while performing at HemisFair, Erickson began speaking gibberish. He was soon diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and sent to a Houston psychiatric hospital, where he involuntarily received electroconvulsive therapy.
Beatles because their solo stuff stood up too…except Ringo of course but Paul, John and George all had really influential solo projects. The stones haven’t had a top 10 hit since the 60’s but continue to tour all that old stuff really. No comparisons when it comes to talent.
I voted for the Beatles but the Rolling Stones are a close second…I listen to the Rolling Stones more than I do the Beatles, but both have constant play in my house…
Sorry Nick. The Rolling Stones.
Yes, Roky Erickson, he was abused by his mother, became an heroin addict, made one of the most influential bands, and then developed severe sz. He has an intense voice and survived until recently… Here is a trailer for a price winning documentary about him:
I chose the Stones because a lot of the early Beatles songs are so short. Although, I’m listening to Help! right now, lol!
“Angie”, by the Stones, is my favorite love song of all time. But I voted for the Beatles because their repertoire is so very large and so very good.
