High dose of EPA effective for positive symptoms

I found this article about EPA (fish oil):

http://www.scielo.br/pdf/rpc/v37n5/a07v37n5.pdf

Do you guys know any other article about high dose of EPA or omega 3 fat?

I tried it for 6 months and stupidly came off my meds but it didn’t make any difference. I was using the VegEPA brand.

Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials on symptomatic outcome revealed no beneficial effect of EPA augmentation in established schizophrenia. However, no conclusion can be made for medium- to long-term effects of EPA in schizophrenia, in particular on relapse prevention in the early course of psychotic disorders.

I take prescription strength EPA Fish Oil.
The brand I was prescribed is called _ Vascepa_
EPA in high doses acts like a weak Antipsychotic.

EPA is not a substitute for proper medications.

There’s a doctor here in Brazil called Lair Ribeiro who claims that a high doses of omega 3 fat (9000 mg) and B3 vitamin (3000 mg) can be effective for schizophrenia.

But if a high doses of EPA works as a weak antipsychotic, it’s worth a try.

Is there any article about it?

One guy’s claims mean nothing unfortunately. Just look at Dr. Abraham Hoffer’s claims. You need research to back it all up.

Yes. I’m looking for researches, but there’s almost no research about high doses of omega 3 fat.

@brugluiz EPA should not be a substitute for APs.
Maybe as an add on, then yes.
