Hey yo sz people

How goes it… I played video games for a collective 8.5 hours today… that’s a record since I got sick…

My character is level 3 now… yup over 8 hours and only 3 level ups… I do have a castle and a wizards tower, but haven’t got them all decked out and operational… just have the private quarters upgraded in the castle for storing stuff while I’m questing…

It’s getting good though… I can summon skeletons and I’ve decided to fight unarmed… it’s all about hauling loot and making money… and items I find of value I’m selling… Might as well max out my unarmored and magic skills first… move onto weapons after I’m riiiiiich and powerful… of course the plan is to max everything out… I don’t care if it takes ten years…

Oblivion > Skyrim… Skyrim was just some fanciful crap… Oblivion actually had good content…

Lol… alright… now I feel like playing again… what is a reasonable time for bed… midnight or 1 am?

Take care folks…
(I’m down to chat about anything if anyone is on…)

This is why I had to quit video games. They are better than real life.

And I’m an addictive personality from a family of addictive personalities.

Time for the zzzquil, it’s not booze it’s 10% alcohol by volume I’m not drinking.

See?

True that yo… but with SZ anything becomes a challenge… I simply couldn’t play video games up until recently… I still get voices while I’m playing and ■■■■… but at least the characters aren’t being telepathic with me…

it’s annoying… I hear this overly appreciative female voice… like she is smiling and giggling in contentment when I’m being a good little boy playing my vijea games in “normie” mode… creeeeeeeps the ■■■■ out of me… so weird…

■■■■ still aint right… but at least my kill count was 1000 something today lol

I managed to smoke a bit of tobacco the other night without falling back into a need for it… was kind of cool… but back to abstinence in that regard… I need a job… when smoking becomes as important or more important than eating or shitting… well that’s obviously some unnatural irrational habit to support… (I’ve been there… gotta quit quit quit [all of you])… jk :smoking:

Anything more complicated than Pong or Ms. PacMan, I leave alone.

least your down for a challenge

When I was 29 I was living with my dad. He would come home from work and we would walk across the street to the arcade and play Pacman. It was our ritual together.

I play a range of things, games never more than a few hours at a time as all games effect me in some way, form believing i am the character I’m playing as or just getting too into the world

so as rule now i only play when some one other is around so that’s normally my brother or my mom so i have someone around if i start to get effected i stop, i learned what games i can play and for how long before i get weird out. Has got better with the meds i have now i do enjoy the games and not going to let this sz take that away

Like online fps games are a no after “thinking” i had really for real killed over 2000 players that was a bad day, but now the single player is okay guess is all different for us.

Sorry.

skyrim is crap… the draw distance just lets you see how small AND empty the world is… about the dragon priest masks and labyrinthian are the only cool new things in it…

everything else was better in oblivion… spellbreaker… azura’s star… umbra…

or try this… having single cast spells tuned into the gameplay having their own button… or dual cast spells that you never use cause you still want to have that sword equipped… same goes for dual wielding weapons …

oblivion sword+shield+spell equipped is possible… try that in skyrim… it’s kind of the ultimatum…

■■■■ the dawnguard and ■■■■ that crappy solstheim expansion…

it is an improved and optimized engine… but it lacked content… it was the product of years experimenting and them wanting to show that they are trying to improve their tech… unfortunately it seems that stole their focus…

god damn norse mythology rippoff shiite with dragons is far less interesting than oblivions daedric realms which are much more relevant to the total cannon and environment of the elder scrolls…

I do think they’ll get the next one right… but if you think skyrim was that much better you’re over looking a lot of what oblivion had… let me make the list…

Improvements in skyrim…
Better draw distance (at the expense of objects on screen)
dual wielding system (still can’t fucken hold two shields [why would oyu want to IDK… but why the hell not… you can attack with them after all… Elder scrolls paladin mod… anyways])…
magic dual cast just means the nerfed the single cast spells
smithing… raw materials to weapons… that’s new… played skyrim for hundreds of hours and never used that ■■■■ but twice… enchanting is where it is at and you’ll find oblivion has a much more extensive enchanting system…

the cut weapon repair… I’m kind of indifferent about that… but in oblivion when you finally get to level 75 all the sudden every object you take a hammer too gets a 25% in its base stats…

soul charging and all that is the same…

skyrims skill tree is just an expansion where you select from the same crap you just earn linearly in oblivion…

oh yeah athletics and acrobatics are still skills… your character can eventually run faster and jump higher aside from skyrims begining to end bs (they did it to make environmental design easier)

well man… there is a lot more… but I’m going to move onto what made morrowind great… which is not much aside from…

spears
throwing stars
shirt+robe+armor+10 rings+ so much equipped at once…

unarmored used to be a skill… no armor at all… just like unarmed… was a good way to go…

but all that equipment + enchantments… ah so much strategy and dominance there…

skyrim was soooo ■■■■■■■ boring… and we all know it… visually impressive at first… but it’s like the halo 2 of the TES series… just kind shitty… sets the standard for mass appeal… but still kind of shitty…

oblivion was halo 1 and morrowind was some tech demo… so it goes…

if you liked skyrim… power to you… but uhh trust me man I’ve been hacking and modding and watching this series for over a decade… I own all three… I have no bias about it… oblvion is the winner… go find frost crags spire in skyrim… (they’ve already discontinued producing dlc for it)… oblivion has an abundance of addons… only one noteable compatability glitch… but even that can be mixed by changing load order…

lets hope the next one beats them all… but I’m sorry dude… skyrim is so lonely and bleak and shallow… there is no depth or investment in any characters…

in morrowind you are some nobody prisoner… be who you want to be was the premise…
same in oblivion
skyrim is this nearly schizo[hrenic grandiose ■■■■■■■■ they put on you to be the savior of anything and everything from some stupid dragon that is only mentioned in skyrim lore…

Fufteen …

Fufteen …

you horse thief, where town are you from…

who me? why?

a nord’s last thoughts should be of home…

mass appeal always ■■■■■ games up… really ■■■■■ them up…

morrowind had slavery in it… a whole lot of racism… totally fictional stuff… made the world more realistic and deeper… and darker… immersive…

course they cut that out when they made oblivion… ■■■■■■■ stupid man…

Sheogorath was one of the most entertaining and well developed characters in any game ever…

sorry m@te I dun’t know st vicent off the top of m(Y) head

Skyrim is a good game after you put like all the mods and patches on to fill in all the gaps with all i modded is a different game…thats bz for you never put out a finished game when the players will fix it for you for free…
aka fallout 4 it will only be worth playing after the modders have fixed it

As for skyrim use the “I am not the dragonborn” mod is completely stops all the silly dragon born stuff and you get to just play a person in skyrim with out off the main story in the way.

Being im replaying Oblivion and enjoying, sill never finished Morrowind as is so HUGE

yeah morrowind was more of a modders sandbox… but you could make it pretty enjoyable…

but yeah that’s what made skyrim suck… they made an xbox game not a pc game… they just expected the pc modders to make it better on pc…

oblivion was kind of in that middle ground… morrowind was really the height of modding… all the mods have been remade for each game… but for the time and how buggy that engine was those modders were doing ■■■■ that has no comparison these days… script extending… even adding in distant land and other directx 9 capabilities…

■■■■■■■ crazy…

Oblivion = good dream… lots of life and variance in experince
Skyrim = cold walk in the winter…

you’ve caught my interest… brb
