Hey guys.. Just something on my mind

I don’t know if you guys read my posts. But if you happen to, do you think I post too much personal stuff…? I got a message on here just now saying to watch out. And now I’m kind of paranoid. What do you guys think?

yeah always be careful… Don’t say anything that doesn’t need to be said…

And in contrast to that I’ve basically said everything there is to know about me on here over the last two years…

But yeah… Watch out… There have been some creeps on here in the past and you’re pretty good looking…

But yeah… From what I’ve read you haven’t said too much. Take care though… And welcome again to the forum.

Thank you. I will be more careful about what I post. I feel like I can be so open on here. But hey. Maybe not. Idk now lol

My biggest fear is someone I know coming on here and seeing what I’m posting… Nobody and I mean nobodyyyy knows this side of me. I would be mortified.

Don’t know if you post that much. You haven’t posted where you live or your social security number or anything like that. Just some of the everyday stuff you deal with. If you are paranoid you can try to be more ambiguous about the stuff you post. Like don’t post specifics and stuff like that. I have no idea what your name is or anything like that. So unless I missed those posts I wouldn’t think you have anything to worry about. You haven’t been getting threats or anything have you? I don’t know no one messages me so I can’t really relate. Also do you think if I posted about particulars of a pulse generator that people would know the ins and outs of it? Electrical circuits and the like. The picture they gave me of the device is a little more complicated than I dealt with getting my degree. I got a little quiz from a job I applied to and want to solve it. They said I can ask others.

What you post here will mostly affect your job or your business. You need to study security about surfing on internet, hiding personal information, etc.

Thanks for the response!

Yeah no names or social security numbers or anything posted by me. Some random person I’ve never talked to just randomly messaged me saying be careful. I think he was looking out for me… But why would he send that if there’s nothing in my posts to hide? I dunno. Just weird. Made me a little paranoid.

Like I said im mostly worried about people I know seeing what I post on here.

And about your electrical question. I have absolutely no idea but you could always try? It definitely wouldn’t hurt to try. There are a lot of people on here so who knows, someone may know. I hope you get answers!

Wait this could affect my job??!

There are discrimination for sz patients in career and business, especially in developing country, like china.
I remembered that one this forum’s member’s business dropped after people known he has sz.

Be very careful. There are creeps who can sense a person’s weaknesses who come on the internet and search out victims. I read a story about this girl who posted some mildly revealing photos on line, and this guy used them to blackmail this girl into doing nude dances for him on line. I think it got so bad that the young girl committed suicide. Never post anything on line that you wouldn’t show to your brother.

Crap. Now I’m scared.

I don’t think you need to be scared. Just be wary. If you have posted anything on line that can be used against you in any way, take it down.

Don’t be scared. The internet is the extension of real life, many crimes. you can search or can’t search.

Well I mean… I posted secrets of my illness on here. And I can’t delete it unless I ask pixel and they won’t delete more than a few things.

This sucks. I’m about to just stop posting.

Why are you afraid about your secrets of illness publicly? I think it is the discrimination.
No real life identity should be OK. About pictures, I think no face pictures should be OK.

Just be careful what you post. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t want the neighbors to know. I’ve posted some stupid ■■■■ before. This woman called me up on the phone soliciting donations for “Doctors Without Borders”. I donated some money, and in the process told her the number on my debit card. I got really scared because I was afraid she steal the money I had put on that card. I thought she was a crook. I sent an email to Doctors without Borders asking if she was a crook or not, and they said she was legit, so she is probably not going to steal from me. I don’t keep that much money on my debit card anyway.

In generally, no need to worry since normal people don’t come here.

I’m pretty sure you have nothing to worry about say no to the paranoia. Just don’t post stuff like social security numbers, addresses, or things like that. Some people let their first names be known but that is up to you. I forget most of that stuff anyway.

That makes me feel better. I changed my avatar to a graphic instead of my picture…

wait what!!! how do posts here affect your job if you don’t have a real name listed? @stillhavehope isn’t her real name just like most of our title names here. So how does anything here that we post have to do with anything IRL???

Now I am freaking out! I asked this already and was told this site was private and secure - no other sites can get the private info of someone here - unless hacked i guess but that is a risk with anything online. Getting paranoid about even being here now.

Hey IT guys what is this all about? @wonderdunk you do IT will you explain this to me…plz?
@shutterbug can you help clear this up?

You people are just spreading the paranoia.
Employers don’t search for their employees nicknames over the internet…they might do it on social networks which sz.com is not.
Normal people don’t google schizophrenia. Trust me or they would know better what is that.
I mean…you are safe here as anywhere else on internet…get it?
