Thanks wave. I’m sorry Seroquel was bad for you. I’m going to see what my doctor will do. He might not let me go on it. Maybe he has some ideas on another drug that’s not a Tier 4.

I can only say good things about Seroquel. It doesn’t affect your libido and sex drive. It makes you feel calm and relaxed and it’s a happy pill to. I was on this meds for 10 years every day and I was on Geodon for 20 years every day. Besides of thease meds I on Clopixol to. But 3 day’s ago I got an adverse reaction that made it impossible to pee so I’m off them for now and I’m only taking 500 mfg Clopixol every 3 week. My ability to pee has returned. And I’ve made the decision to stay on Clopixol only for ever.

I take a small ammount to sleep. But i always can stop when my sleep cycle is fixed

Fainted twice when I was taking seroquel… don’t recommend it. Made me dizzy. Fell while crossing the road once…

I was going to suggest this drug. But it’s a bummer. Still aripiprazole has generics available.

Lately after having used 3 antipsychotics for many years I suddenly couldn’t pee: so I quit the :pill: and I kept the long acting and then finally it resolved. One of those were Seroquel. Now we are going to restart the seroquel and slowly increase to the target dose of 400 mg. The other :pill: meds we are going to dump.

I got trouble peeing one hour after taking 50 mg seroquel and it has kasted for 4 hours. Has send a message to the psychosisteam and Fired them because they forced drugs on me.

My blood tests showed my testosterone is under the minimum value. I am 32y.o. I think its the 5mg risperidone causing this. My family Dr didn’t care and I don’t have a pdoc. Maybe I should see another Dr but its pretty hard here to get a Dr especially a specialist like an endocrinologist or an urologist who can prescribe testosterone.

I gained 90 pounds (40.8kg) in one year on Seroquel. It helped me sleep but also made me need naps everyday. I was completely stoned on it. It’s not for me. That said, there are people who swear by Seroquel.

Im down to 2mg/day of risperidone now but a couple months ago I was at 5 and thats when I started to recognize that I was having some bedroom problems. I see my family doc soon and she has always been pretty good so I am hoping that she will give this some attention and not just sweep it under the rug as it sounds like yours did. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I will send you some power karma as well :smiley:

It turned me into a fat zombie. Not as bad as olanzapine, though. I’m on Rexulti currently and experiencing no side effects
