Answering the voices

I’ve noticed I answer my voices automatically. I whisper. It is something I noticed yesterday at work. It is annoying, I try to ignore the voices but still I talk back to them. Anyone else who also does it? Or how do I stop? I don’t want to look like a freak whispering to myself at work.
