It’s such a rude awakening grabbing jeans from the closet only to find they don’t fit anymore :flushed: haha…

Wishing you luck with the low-carb/fasting, @spiderpig!

That’s similar to me I think it will work. I’m skipping lunch :))

Skipping dinner or breakfast makes the fast too unbearingly hard.

Good luck @spiderpig and @Schztuna you’ve got this

It lowered my blood pressure and cholesterol but idk about weight loss as I started skipping breakfast since taking it and lost 15lb in 1-2 months so not much. Now I am not losing weight anymore, need exercise. Anyways vegetables have lots of fiber.

I’m hopelessly addicted to sugar. It’s unhealthy. I need to start a well thought out exercise regimen.

My secret to successful weight loss is measuring and weighing literally everything and then logging it into MyFitnessPal. I also plan out my day on MyFitnessPal the day before so I’m within my calories and then the next day I just reference it and only eat what’s on the diet plan for the day.

15 lbs is great work!

That’s a decent amount of weight to lose in about 1-2 months.

Sugar is my nemesis also, @crimby.

Wishing you luck with cutting it out from your meals, and with starting your exercise.

MyFitnessPal is a good app, for sure.

Tried to do 1200 calories a day, and I think my body responded poorly to a switch in my diet after doing keto for so long.

Me and carbs don’t really get along, but I plan on using MFP for low-carb, low-cal.

Will try your method of inputting food for the day first and see how it goes!

I started keto last Friday and am in ketosis now. I eat just over 1500 calories a day having gone up from my unsuccessful 1200 calories a day diet with exercise. I was unsuccessful with weight loss not the diet.

Now having had bacon and eggs for breakfast for the last few days which I am really enjoying having not had it for many, many years. I have cauliflower rice with a raw spring onion to make it nice and asalmon fillet, chicken breast, pork chop or chicken thighs.

I also treat myself to 25gram of blue stilton which is delicious. I thought I’d never have it again due to my previous healthy diet regimen.

I have to wait a few days for a weight check in to see if it is working.

I have found that even though I have increased my calorie intake by 300 calories, it is still not a lot of food, but I prefer it. My resting calorie base rate is only 1575 calories anyway which is disheartening to know.

For low carb you could also eat baked fish and veggies; for example, wild caught salmon and asparagus.

Ok so there’s a simple way and a more complicated way, both are good. For the simple way you simply put two small cans of chopped green chilis in the bottom of your crock pot place 3 large, boneless, skinless, chicken breast on top and cover with a large jar of salsa verde. Cook on high for 4 hours, shred the chicken, add 3 to 4 cans of white beans and return to high for another 30 minutes. Serve with sour cream and tortilla chips. For the complicated way just add a chopped up onion and bell pepper under the chicken. My favorite salsa verde is from Walmart.com it’s tangy and the bottle is large enough.

Lettuce wraps.

They’re super easy and healthy,

And delicious.

I could eat them every night.

It’s just cubed chicken, cooked with chopped onion and mushrooms.

After the chicken is cooked and the onions are soft, add hoisin sauce to taste.

Then make a dipping sauce of soy sauce, rice vinegar (equal parts), a little sesame oil and green onion.

Wrap the stuff in bibb lettuce and dip.

It’s great.

Sounds like keto is going well for you so far, @labratmat.

I too tried the 1200 calorie diet and actually gained some weight, so I think my body just responds better to low-carb.

Cauliflower rice is good stuff-- such an easy side to make for dinner. Oh, and blue stilton is smelly and delicious!

Your resting calorie base seems low, so not a lot of wiggle room if you’re trying to lose a few pounds. Pretty sure mine’s around 1100, so that’s not very high either, unfortunately.

Best of luck!

Sounds delicious, @LevelJ1!

Thinking I might replace the bun with lettuce leaves for low-carb reasons and see how it goes :slightly_smiling_face:
