So he was 35 minutes late. I didn’t tell him yesterday but this morning I said I was really anxious he was late. He said he could tell because
I don’t look at him as much and don’t smile… He notices lil things I find that really scary.

Just let this one go with a small comment, like you have done already, but if he makes being late a habit maybe you should discuss it with him. As for noticing little things, as long as it isn’t too personal, I wouldn’t worry about it.
